“How do you change the settings (brightness, contrast, etc.) I can get to the settings but with the regular remote (not magic remote) I can't figure out anyway to change the number setting, #' keys don't work, arrows don't work.”

hit the settings button on the remote, choose a pre setting option like vivid or HDR and then go back to the normal settings screen and go all the way down to the All settings tab, from there you should be able to go into picture settings and mess with all the detailed stuff
