• Yes, it has a built in tuner. Also, it does not delete a station if it is weak, which I have happen with my other TV.

• There is a built in tuner that scans antenna and cable signals during the TV's setup. If you are using a cable box you'll switch the input to Component or HDMI to run the signal through the box.
