• No, you cannot do the adjustment (except for volume) from the remote, but there is a button on the remote that takes you to the settings.

• Yes. The remote has a button that looks like a cog wheel to go to settings. You make the adjustments in settings, though, not on the remote. The remote is used to point to the settings options.
