The sound quality is pretty good. I feel like it handles dialog quite well. We decided to use a small Yamaha sound bar with it and that combination is great. If you ourchase an LG soundbar it will sync along with the TV's internal speakers.

i would give it a 9 on a scale of 10..not buying a sound bar yet..my old tv was not very good with sound..
