“I am just curious, I just received my C1 series LG Oled 55 inch tv and I was curious if I have to turn a setting on to activate 120hz at 4k? For tv, movies, games etc. Each HDMI is 2.1 4k at 120hz possible so I didn't know if I had to turn the 120hz on.”

No it doesn’t have to be turned on. If the TV is receiving a 120hz signal from a game console or another device it displays it as that. Great TV choice!
