“I will be coming from a TCL 5 series QLED panel to this TV. Will the brightness be a lot darker with this TV than it was with the QLED? I like a bright screen to play games on. I don't like super dark screens.”

My lg oled is very bright. If not the brightest tv i have ever owned. Your blacks will be very black. The lights for a black scene turn off. So your black is like your tv is turned off. When it comes to video games oled is by far one of the best choices to make. Colors are bright and vivd.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The common downside to OLED TVs is that they are noticeably darker, but this shouldn't affect usability, especially for games. The problem lies with the nature of OLED: each pixel has to light up on its own. This causes an overall reduction in brightness, due to darker parts of a scene being less bright and not lighting up the screen as much. I use this TV for all sorts of games, and even though it's not the best for playing in a "well-lit" space, it excels at delivering top-notch picture quality for the price point.
