It’s pretty clunky and oddly shaped but it was done that way to bounce sound in different directions to sound better. If you’re talking about a piece of furniture as a stand, I can’t help you there. Mine is on my mantle. I myself prefer a sound bar as the sound is better than the tv speakers. My sound bar is 2.1” tall so I myself went and bought a wooden block cut 2” high x 12” deep x 18” wide and it works wonderfully. Screen not blocked by sound bar. It is worth noting that I chose 2” block height because the mantle is higher than straight line of sight. Even though your sound bar is taller, I would stick with 2” unless your tv sits up higher than straight line of sight. You can measure your area for what suits you best. You won’t see the block as your sound bar wit cover it. The block also helps the remote hit the tv sensor and isn’t blocked by sound bar. The important part of the measurement mentioned above is the 12” depth. It needs to be at least that to accommodate the back part of the stand (not seen in pictures).
