The tv & performance... is great
The LG C9 is a great tv. Super thin bout as thin as 2 nickels stacked together which is cool but also means care has to be taken when moving which lg says don’t grab from the corners of the screen.
Tv is quick when navigating around menus or apps the remote is cool mouse pointer is handy & fast but also can use remote as normal too. Colors pop & brightness is good glare is not an issue. My 10yr 55” Vizio tv went out 6 months ago so was using kids 1080p 40” since & when I got this I did have eye strain for few days do to brightness, darkness & over all pic quality I’m guessing. I was sick so it could of played a part but after few days it stoped & everything was fine. Just note this could happen at 1st depending on the size tv your coming from & couch Distance. 9-10ft away is a good distance from tv.
Off angle performance is excellent so people sitting on chairs couches off to the side of the tv’s center will enjoy the picture quality still unlike other tv’s that use VA screens.
App selection on tv is good YouTube Netflix prime Hulu showtime no hbo as of now but you’d still have more choices with a fire stick 4K or Nvidia shield tv Box or similar streaming devices. But the tv has all the basic apps just about but wish it had more or access to play store which there maybe a work around some how but not sure. Either way u buy this tv for its picture & gaming capability not its apps. So you won’t be disappointed in those regards.
You can use Google assistant or Alexa also has home kit for Apple & Siri can turn on tv & so on.
Speakers are pretty good & actually has some bass just not that really deep low end.
Can pair your phone with Bluetooth & listen to music from tv speakers & has on screen player with artists & song info. Also has apple Airplay.
Very happy with this purchase but I would highly recommend the geek squad warranty since they are the only ones who cover burnin Incase that should happen. Just vary your tv watching & from the the videos I watched online stay away from CNN or Regular long news watching probably in general. But the geek squad warr will give u a big peace of mind!
On the plus side if that dose happen it only takes 15-20mins to switch out the panel with a new one & have repair guys out quickly. Not sure if this will help anyone but love the few weeks I have spent with the tv

I’ve been in the market for a new TV since October 2019 do to my 49” Sony 4K HDR TV screen getting damaged and couldn’t be fixed. I came so close to buying the LG CX but upon extensive research and watching countless YouTube videos, I discovered this model is the better option especially if you can find it for a steal (which I did!!!!). I’ve only had it for 2 days now so I can’t give a unbiased review until the novelty wears off, but I am amazed at the picture quality so far. However I will say I now understand the hype about OLED’s lol.

This is my first OLED and first LG after owning only Samsungs. If you are not one who notices subtle differences in picture quality or watch a lot of 4k HDR content, this TV is probably not for you. Save $2k and get something cheaper. But if you do watch those and you and want the best, this is it. HDMI 2.1 support for the future, latest and greatest processor for super fast smart TV performance. The wife really like that Netflix and Amazon prime are much quicker. There is also a setting to turn off the screen completely which I do when listening to music. After a few months of use I have zero regrets and zero complaints about this TV. Actually, But it goes without being said, picture quality is simply amazing. This panel is consistently rated #1 for consumer TVs. Best TV I've purchased to-date!

This TV has a great picture- the sound is deep and clear when music is playing, the voice assistant is better then expected. I love the fact the TV remote controls the cable also. The only negative is the VGA size is a little odd. My iPhone does not do the justice that is deserved to the picture that is provided.

We love the TV it’s everything we wanted! Crystal clear picture. OLED is the way to go, my only wish is that we could of gotten the 65” over the 55” but I’m still so happy!
When company comes we just put on the screen saver which can be Von Gogh pictures in frames. You can have family photos rotating as well.

Absolutely blown away by the quality. The magic remote is amazing especially coming from a Samsung. Great deal right now. The picture was slightly mess bright than the Samsung's but the quality and blacks ate much better.

I don’t know why I waited but I did. I read about Organic LED back in the 90’s believe it or not.
Since that time I bought a 36 tv that’s 200 pounds then I bought a real expensive a plasma 55 inch I had 3 of the Samsung run of mill flat screens
This January I said what the heck I saw BB with an LG OLED for 1700 @ 55” I bought it.
Wow! not only does it make going through the different connections a breeze the picture is extraordinary. You are there in real life, no aberrations, no pixelations, Or halos. It updates the apps awesome intuitive operations
I only wish I got the 65
Buy it

Hey everyone heres my take on the 55 inch version of the C9. The unboxing experience was great have zero complaints towards the packaging. After viewing netflix youtube and 4k blurays it is superb and I will not deny it's the best I have personally viewed. How ever I'm left in this grey area due to the fact everywhere I go I see people ranting not to get the tv due to burn in. I have read reviews stating the tvs last anywhere from a week to 2 years before they go faulty. This is a concern to me as this isnt some cheap tv that everyone can afford to fork out the cash for and with that you would expect not to deal with these issues. So I went and contacted LG they do not cover burn in the tv comes with a limited hardware warranty for one year with that being said i guess the decision is are you willing to take a gamble on the tv lasting less then 2 years even though it's got the best picture you will see. For me I'm on the fence with returning this as I cant afford this tv to last a short lifespan for the price. Thanks hope this helps others

An LG OLED is serious a game changer in terms of a tv purchase. After owning it for 6 months I can honestly say that the C9 is the best tv I’ve ever owned, and I won’t be getting a non oled tv on any future purchases. From gaming to streaming content the tv is just awesome. Get the geek squad warranty on any oled tv you purchase, so you don’t have to worry about screen burn in, and you’re all set to just enjoy the tv as it was meant to be enjoyed. You will not be disappointed with an LG oled in your living room.

It’s an OLED. That’s all I need to say. The model OLED I purchased was the LG C9 2019. This tv is by far one of the best I’ve owned. I mostly got the tv because I’m a movie getter and the black levels are truly to died for. Not only is this tv amazing but it is future proof as well.

So I was waiting for the day I would be able to justify buying this tv and the day came I needed one and it was on sale. So far I am very happy with it I do play ps4 pro Cod and watch Netflix and espn. I don’t over do it and play games for 8 hours or espn for 8 hours I have been moving around on my selection no burn in and even if I just paid 500 for 5 years protection if something goes wrong I will go back to LED and say it was fun while it lasted lol

I love this TV so much, I don’t know what to do with myself. Outstanding in every facet. I’ve decided LG is all I’ll ever own. Our living room is bathed in sunlight and yet the picture doesn’t get washed out. I’ve added a pic with the sun streaming onto a part of the screen. Pic taken on 7/9/21 at sunset, 7:35pm. Outstanding tv!

I have had this TV for over 3 months with over 300hrs of usage time.I should give this TV a 5 star review if not for just one thing i noticed while using it. This Oled is amazing value with all the latest bells and whistles. it has hdmi 2.1 and e ARC which is going to be huge in the coming years because all new device interface will support it and it will make connectivity and performance easier and faster. The price has come down a lot and this is probably the best time to pick one up. The picture quality when playing both SDR and HDR is simply amazing with so much clarity and sharpness, when you watch the right content this TV really shines. I paired it with a vizio 5.1.2 atmos soundbar and it has been working flawlessly even better than my previous Vizio Qled which had a lot of connection issues. My only issue with this TV is its presentation of Dolby vision which is absolutely disappointing when you put it side by side with the so called inferior quality of HDR10 material. HDR10 content on this TV absolutely looks amazing with vibrant colors and amazing highlights that break out of the screen. Dolby vision ,on the other hand looks washed out and less punchy with dim highlights. The color presentation of dolby vision is simply disappointing when compared to HDR10. I dont want to believe I am the only person that noticed this. I really dont see the fuss with dolby vision and would like to implore LG to support HDR10+.They say dolby needs a 12 bit panel and 400nits of brightness to be accurate. I want to believe this also has to do with the Lg A9 chip because i have seen Dolby vision on the Sony A9G and it looks amazing, I dont understand why it is so weak on the LG oled, LG needs to look into this and try to fix it . I watched the Superbowl in HDR 10 on this TV and it looked amazing, this TV has so much untapped potential that is being held back by LG 's inferior processing. Other Oleds from panasonic and especially sony have better picture quality due to their better processor. I hope LG can release a firmware to improve dolby vision on the A9 chip but i believe they have most likely moved all the good stuff to the Lg CX which is coming soon.

I got this tv after years of wanting one, and all I have to say is HOLY COW! The colors are bright and vivid, and the blacks are incredibly black. I feel like I’m there in whatever world is on the screen. (My cat likes it as well!)
