This Oled is amazing. The picture is amazing once it is set. I game on a PS4 and Xbox one S and the HDR looks good. Dolby vision for Netflix and Disney plus is out of this world. I don’t own a pc yet. It took me a full day to preset the picture to my liking. I recommend using YouTube for help. The screen is razor thin and looks bezel less. I got the 5 year warranty from Best Buy, don’t want to stress about burn in. The thing is future proof for next generation gaming, can’t wait.

Truly wonderful piece of technology. Incredibly thin, but equally as powerful. Going from an older mid tier Samsung 4K UHD TV to this beauty was like going from SD to HD. Amazing array of colors and deep and rich blacks. Watching anything on the TV, news, live action, sports, movies, video games, all of it has been AMAZING. Super easy to use and setup as well! The remote works very well, and can be programmed to control other devices such as a cable box.

I read these reviews all the time before I buy. I wonder if they are real if Best Buy / LG plants some of them (big conspiracy guy) Nevertheless, I bought this TV today and I’m blown away. I had a 65 inch Samsung 4K tv but I wanted to get one for my room. After doing some research I decided to pony up for a real good one and am delighted so far. The picture is absolutely stunning. I played some xbox earlier and it was unreal. I’m watching avatar right now and I’m blown away. People always talk about the deep blacks that an LED tv can’t match, now I understand. These are the TV’s of the future.

OLED is #1 for a reason!

Spend the extra money. Don’t fall for the new LCD or LED or the QLED that may be more reasonably priced. You get what you pay for. Wait for the OLED to go on a sale and pounce. Got mine for $2200 (retail $2500 at the time) and also got a $200 Best Buy GC and a $20 Best Buy GC. Throw in some reward certificates, and some Best Buy GCs I got for Christmas, and I got a sweet deal. TV is absolutely stunning. You can’t go wrong with the LG brand, and you can’t go wrong with the consensus #1 type of TV out there (OLED). Sure there are ramblings of 8K now, but content will be available in 4K (more and more is already available everyday) much before 8K so buying an 8K now will likely be obsolete when 8K content is available. Definitely purchase extended warranty through Best Buy, and ENJOY THE SHOW!

I upgraded from a Panasonic plasma tv so take it for what it is but this tv is phenomenal. Very user friendly, great picture quality and the color is fantastic. For a flat panel tv that’s thinner than my phone the sound is actually pretty good too. Still advise a soundbar though. Would definitely recommend to anyone well overdue for an upgrade like myself you won’t regret it

    5800 On Hours - ZERO burn-in issues

We’ve had this panel since March 2020 and almost 5800 of on hours, there’s ZERO burn-in issues. I’m sure that the newer models have improved in reliability, as any piece technology develops. I will update this review yearly. I would highly recommend any of LG’s OLED panels to anyone.

For reference I am coming from a Samsung plasma display that at the time was rated at the time to be the closest to OLED quality at a much lower cost. The reason for replacing that was that it developed severe image retention probably due to faulty power regulation. Obviously pro reviews suggest that this has the top image quality available and right out of the box it has never disappointed. It is slightly better with my U-verse box but really shines with 4K and HDR sources. For me that’s select programming from Netflix and Prime. Compared to my Sammy the user experience is much nicer in every way. Setup was a breeze requiring no calibration. Apps are easier and more reliable and the voice command on the remote is awesome. Another surprise to me is how viewable it has been with direct sunlight hitting it each morning. I could barely see the screen from the plasma. My only concern is image retention after long term use. Only time will tell but so far I have seen no problems after 2+ months of heavy use. Considering we have been under stay at home orders for several weeks, that’s probably a full year’s worth of use.

I bought the C9 after my Sony 4k died on me the CPU fried. The quality of the C9 is amazing im happy my Sony TV died on me and I was able to buy the C9 using my bestbuy warranty. My sony had a grey hint all over it made every thing seem mushy on the screen blurry. This C9 has a beautiful screen bright and dark perfect picture and sound.. This television has 4 hdmi 2.1 for next gen no worries if you will get a patch? Unlike Sony and Samsung... is it possible too patch I don't think so. My only problem with my purchase is I should have bought the 65 inch instead of the 55! You don't have to guess if your movie and shows are in 4k uhd hdr look in the R corner and it'll tell you the quality quickly. I love that feature I use vudu Disney Netflix and prime. Even 1080p TV and shows are amazing!

This is a great investment for the living room! The picture quality is amazing and the colors are perfect. I’m also a big fan of their controller even if it’s not as visually pleasing to look, at it’s really fun to use. I’m really happy with this TV and everything it brings to the table I’m glad I picked a OLED.

I love my new television. The picture quality at home is just as good as it was in the store. Views from all angles are perfect. Colors are realistic, sound is great, and t.v. is sleek and classy. It is like being in the theater when watching in the dark, images are even more - especially movies that are "dark," I have never liked films that are too dark because it is hard to see what is going on, this television makes dark movies easy to watch and I can see everything. Tons of features that I have yet to discover. If you are looking for a great television, look no further.

The picture is absolutely amazing! To me Oled TVs are a must due to their true black color depth. It makes the hdr amazing. By far the lowest input lag I’ve ever gamed on. This is the first tv I’ve been able to game on, enjoy the experience and not make me miss my gaming monitor.

    Complicated calibration, but worth it

Don't buy this TV to start watching out of the box---spend time calibrating the various settings in the multiple menus, which will take a while, but is necessary for the best picture. Downsides---the ever worry of burn-in (I had a plasma before, so I'm used to it), OLED still very expensive. I hate the stupid magic wand remote. No gigabit ethernet on a $1500 TV is just odd. People say "well hdr streaming tops out at 25gigabits" which is true, but certain reencoding media servers can saturate a 100mbit connection with 1080p material, and gigabit ethernet would also allow better buffering performance for things like Netflix, etc. And what would it have cost LG for gigabit ethernet, like $5? Its been around for a decade now. Upsides---I also have a Sony X900F, one of the best budget LCD/LED tvs and there really is a noticable difference between it and this OLED. Its not *massive*, but definitely a better picture on the LG OLED.

Between the 4k/HDR and the color black from the OLED instead of dark gray this TV is fantastic. It has all the connections I need and the picture quality is amazing. All content I'm viewing is streaming so no opinions about blu-ray or anything else. The remote pointer takes a while to get used to but it's a quick learn. The only annoying thing about the remote is as soon as you move it, the pointer shows us on screen but luckily it disappears pretty quick too. Highly recommend the TV and I hope the long-term reliability is like my other LG tvs.

I have been looking at TVs for over a year and finally went for this one. I am coming from a 2009 Sony 52" LCD. So updating to 4K was a big difference. I debated going for a "Budget TV" vs OLED and I am glad I went with the OLED. So far I do not regret my purchases. I just hope that it lasts as long as my previous TV. First the housing and form factor. Even though this is a slightly larger display than my previous TV, the overall footprint is smaller with the slimmer Bezel and the smaller thickness. The picture quality is amazing. If you are reading this then I would assume you have done some research into the differences between QLED, LED, and OLED, so I'm not going to go into that. Just know that the perfect black is amazing to see. I use a sound bar, so I can not comment on the speaker quality. If you are in the market for a top of the line TV this is highly recommended.

I'm absolutely in love with my new LG OLED TV. Most people just want a big flat screen TV and really don't understand the differences that are out there. This TV projects within the screen rather then the LED from the sides in. Picture quality with the LG OLED is like your right there in the program/movie or game your watching. Clear, bright and brilliant color. Sound is great but I also added the LG sound bar and wireless speakers for a theater sound. LG all the way!!!!!

Previous Samsung 3D Plasma TV owner that needed to be replaced the picture quality in a dark room was fantastic but even at full brightness it had lost a step or 3. I did a lot of research and ended up choosing this LG OLED C9PUA and we are very happy we did, the pic quality is outstanding, its bright, sharp, colors are proper required little tweaking to get it just right in my environment. Couldn't be happier, and the Smart features are as good as anyone in the market.

This is the absolute best TV on the market. Deep blacks, incredible contrast! The tv automatically switches to HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Game mode when it detects that content! Excellent for gaming as the input lag is minimal and with 4, yes 4, HDMI 2.1 ports it is future proof for the Xbox Scarlet and the PS5. The smart functionalities are top of the line as to be expected with LG products. While the price point may turn most off, if you can find it on sale or find yourself with the extra cash to splurge, this is one purchase you will not regret; I surely have no regrets with this purchase!

I replaced a Samsung 4K QLED tv with this LG C9. I immediately noticed a difference, the colors are more rich and deep. Dolby Vision makes the video amazing and I could not go back to using a LED tv again. The OLED tvs are able to display more detail than an LED tv because it the individual pixels illuminating. This TV also has dull bandwidth HDMI 2.1 for future devices showing you to unlock the benefits when devices like the Xbox Series X and PS5 are released. There is a possibility that the pixels can misfire or get locked, something like a vertical line, however a reset can resolve the issue, unless it you happen to be unlucky and get a defective unit, which is rare. Burn-in is also a possibility, however not likely if you watch varied content, find the rtings.com review to rest assured. Also purchase a hell squad protection plan.

I was forced to purchase this tv by my husband. He would not stop complaining about my LCD tv that I bought at a pawn shop in 2012 (it would only turn on 50% of the time). He demanded we get OLED. I thought this was an irrational demand, as I knew there are plenty of excellent TV's for a third of the price. He wouldnt back down or compromise so we went and purchased the tv he wanted. I have to say after getting it home and watching a variety of movies on it... I get the hype. The picture is so incredibly clear and looks so real. Now I love it, although I still dont love the price of it. Bonus: it comes with a really awesome super technologically advanced remote control
