Whether, and how, depends on which model phone you have. Several models have ability to screen cast using DLNA. Other models, like G4, have hml, with which you use an adapter micro USB to hdmi; you plug the micro USB into your phone as you would your charging cable, the adapter has ports for an HDMI cable and your charging cable (you can find extra long hdmi or charging cables). The V10 has slimport, which is a different protocol, for which you can find adapter for hmdi, vga, and a few others - you can wire this phone to just about any screen or projector. Eventually, you should also be able to get an adapter for just about anything, but the Type C protocol is new and seems most 3 party manufacturers messed up - look for Benson Leung approved or you could fry your phone and TV. Wired connections allow more flexibility of peripherals with less latency. Google (phone model) complete specs, and check gsm arena for comms.
