Depends on what you're looking for in a TV. The new 6300/7000 line up from LG right now are great for gaming with low input latency compared to Samsung's model and good overall picture quality (you must turn off automatic energy saving otherwise the screen is a bit dim). If gaming is not a factor in your purchase, Samsung has a bit of an edge in picture quality for a slightly higher price with better black display. If budget is not an issue, check out LG's OLED TVs. They are quite superior all around to Samsung's current line up of televisions, including gaming.

I purchased the top of the line Samsung a few years back and before the warranty ran out, the backlights went out starting in the top corner. It wasn't apparent to less than a trained eye at first so I didn't notice it until a week after the warranty ran out. To repair the tv was going to cost more than half the original cost which had of course decreased substantially since the original purchase. We replaced that tv with a vizio and added another vizio to the bedroom. Both went completely out within 18 mos to 2 yrs. We now own a 65" LG 4k UHD and we love it. We have had it a year now and not one problem. The picture is the clearest short of having an OLED. Our daughter and family have had an LG older model tv for quite a few years without any problems. If I were in your shoes, I would run as far away from a Samsung as I could run. I would run as fast as I could to an LG --- but my motto is "better to be safe than sorry". I bought the 5 year extended warranty on the LG. Just in case. It costs way less to purchase the warranty than to replace all these defunct tvs! Hope this helps! Happy watching!
