Go to settings set the pointer on picture mode choose from : Vivid, Standard, Auto Power Save, Cinema, Sports, Game, HDR effect, Expert (Bright Room), Expert ( Dark Room). Using the above modes you will find the brightness your looking for.

Left side of screen: use the remote - use the round up/down/sideways "wheel" on remote - push down arrow to scroll to "All Settings" at the bottom of left screen sidebar : OR use the cursor (shake remote side to side to get the cursor, if not already showing) to point to bottom icon "All Settings and click; Top 'PICTURE BOX automatically opens; select "Picture Mode Settings" (use rolling wheel inside up/down wheel to select by pushing down/clicking twice to select); "Brightness" appears within the list - click on it. Adjust to your liking.
