“my Simolio wireless headset does not seem to work? it is plugged into the Red and white AV ports and I set the TV on optical? nothing. Simolio SM-823 any ideas? does this unit not work with an LG”

You need to change the settings on the TV. Optical is a single thin cable that goes to your sound system. Under sound settings change it to AV
