Thank you Chris! I already have voltage converter which I use in US to get euro-voltage for some of my devices. It works also another way around, so that kind of solves the voltage and plug problem. We don't have analog broadcasts anymore in Finland, so I need only DVB-C for digital cable broadcasts. OLED55C7P doesn't have that, but I have external recording receiver in Finland so that is covered as well. My biggest concern is external devices: the DVB-C-receiver and PS3 (used mainly as Blue Ray player). Is there any problems using these external devices (from Finland) with US tv? Both devices would be connected via HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.North American TVs will not work in European countries, for 2 reasons, but there are work arounds. One is the power/plugs. In NA we use 110 volts, in Europe they use 220 and a different wall outlet. You can buy power transformer/converter (I lived in Norway for 2 years and took my TVs, PlayStations, etc.) The other is the TV signal type. In NA we use NTSC and in Europe they use PAL. So the content is coded differently. Again you can go online and buy a video signal converter. This will auto change the code from one to the other. Same goes for games (Xbox and PlayStation) as they are region locked. So if you buy games or such over there, they will not play in your NA game or dvd system. Work around for everything, online streaming services ....
