I was to my son don't give up he snapped in place.

Unfortunately, there is no trick to snapping the front grille for the LG 550 Sq. Ft. 12,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1217ERSM back in place other than pushing it back firmly until it snaps back in place. If the wire bundle and power cord are too close and are interfering with the top right corner fitting then that sounds like a design flaw that will need to be repaired.
