“We used the oven only two times in regular bake mode (no convection). The convection fan works most of the time, shuts down for 2-3 seconds and then resumes. The fan shut down/restart and fan itself is loud. Is this normal and should we call LG to check?”

• This would be normal. The fan would turn on and off intermittently to properly distribute the heat. As long as it isnt rattling or screeching when it turns on, it would be normal operation. ^ Jamal

• You should call LG,we have no problems with the fan. We have cooked in the oven. This is the second one we have owned. We bought one for our condo.

• This is normal. I agree the fan is loud but trust me you will, as we did, adapt quickly. I believe the fan helps distribute heat evenly when baking and helps push heat out through the top vent when turned off.
