“Hi, Do I need 40 or 50AMP Cord for 1980's build house with 3prong outlet for this range?”

They used a 50 amp cord to install mine. I have a 4 prong plug. If your outlet is only 3 prong, you would need a 3 prong plug.

A range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 1-3/8"diameter connection openings.
