Check with LG, but I do not think this is necessary. I have not had any issues with heat on the sides or back since I installed our stove. I do have a slight air gap around the stove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gas stoves operate and generate heat at approximately the same btu values as conventional electrical based stoves and no additional heat protection is needed just because you use gas over electric.
