This model features a continuous heavy-duty grate system, and the center grate is specifically designed to be swapped with the included integrated griddle. You do not need to purchase an additional grate to use the cooktop features.

It is 2 separate grates that meet in the middle of the stovetop and the griddle lays on top.  There is nothing extra to buy.

The burner has its own grate and the griddle is included. I’ve included some pix (sorry for the messy stove)
