Arc is automatic and has no effect on uses , just has ARC in number 2 , you can go to general setting and turn the HDR COLOR ON for all 3 hdmi ports and I have tried all three with cable , gaming and surround sound, but number 2 sounds better to me with surround sound system in ARC .

It shares more complex messages as part of the HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) that allows a single remote to control features for as many as up to 15 connected devices. With the ARC function, (Audio Return Channel), as long as both devices support that feature, you will be able to control volume, power and other features from your TV remote. In most cases, it will automatically transfer your TVs audio to your connected devices without you having to turn the TV's built-in speakers off. The other function that ARC performs is sending signals 'upstream" and "downstream" over the same HDMI cable. If your other device does not support the ARC function, then that port simply functions as a regular HDMI port would...^IFV
