• OLED stands for ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE. The technology behind this claims that each diode puts out its own light individually as opposed to LED which is either backlit or side lit in sections. Being that the technology is so different comparing the two is really not an option. I will say the picture is incredible and this technology has taken viewing to yet another level. • The OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode, which enhances the picture quality, especially the blacks, to surpass the Plasma TVs that have since gone by the wayside. The difference between an LED TV and an OLED TV is like night and day.
