“I am picking up the TV myself as I live 2 hours from any store. Can it be laid down in the back of a truck? Does it have to remain standing?”

The manufacturer recommends keeping it standing up, but I'm sure a lot of people pick up their TV and bring it home lying down in transit. I had to do that and my TV works just fine. It is packed with a lot of foam. Just dont lay anything on top of the box so the TV will not bend.
