“From my understanding the main advantage of E8 over C8 is having 60W 4.2 channel speakers. However if I already have my own advanced 5.1 surround sound system, and use it with the tv, C8 and E8 will provide the same sound quality, is it right? Thanks!”

If you already have a system in place, then you need the C8. I looked at both before I purchased the C8 model, and it looks more sleek. It works great with my surround sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Correct. Any time you are using an external speaker, turn off the internal TV speakers. In this case the E8 will not be an advantage for you. They all have the same picture quality too. You could consider the B8 as well. The LG OLED's are the best TV I've ever seen...no bad choice, just staggering price.

The difference between the 2 is the speakers on the E8 are downward firing and has a curved glass piece on the bottom to redirect the sound forward.
