The stand is a large counterweight that attaches the bottom of the TV and holds it upright. The OLED65E9PUA has the following dimensions: with Stand (WxHxD) 57" x 34.5" x 8.7". ^CP

• We did not use stand. We had the TV wall mounted over the fireplace. We have a stone hearth from floor to ceiling. Great back drop for the TV.
