Needing a Soundbar is really a matter of personal preference. The TV has Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sound. AI sound enhancements use spatial awareness technology to analyze an environment and adapt the audio to create the best experience based on the sound settings and the location of the TV. You can try the LG Community Forum; it is a great resource for getting help from other LG customers: https://lgcommunity.us.com. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my opinion, all TVs today need a soundbar; TV speakers are tinny in general and need a boost. I have the LG 3.1.2-Channel 440W Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos with this TV. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-3-1-2-channel-440w-soundbar-system-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-dolby-atmos-with-google-assistant-black/6402206.p?skuId=6402206 and I love it. The Dolby Atmos mimics surround sound without having to purchase/place numerous speakers. It comes with a Blue Tooth subwoofer. My previous system was very old (15+ years) so between this new TV and the sound bar my eyes and ears are very happy!
