This is the 3rd flat screen I have mounted over a fireplace mantle. I purchased an optional tilting mount which enables me to tilt screen down slightly, maybe 10 degrees, and it works exceptional. I've had three flat-screens mounted over two different fireplaces and never experienced an issue. You do look up slightly but it's not an issue whatsoever. The 65" LG OLED is as big as I would go unless you have very high ceilings.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless youre NOT using your fireplace, then you may mount your OLED TV on the wall above the Fireplace. It would help to enclosed or cover the opening of the FP to prevent draft, moisture or other elements from going to the TV. Yes, theres plenty of reliable mounts that tilts down or sideways too.

Also, the heat coming out from the front of a fireplace my be detrimental to the electronics of the TV, over the years, and result in premature failure.
