• I have mine hanging on the wall, but the stand is not higher than 5 inches. Your speaker would block the screen. In the specifications section of the description it gives dimensions with or without stand.

• Yes, it'll hide the lower part of your picture. I put my TV on a small pedestal stand to avoid this issue.
