Regrettably, there aren't any specifications that will let you know how well the sound on the LG E8PUA 4K HDR OLED Glass TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65E8PUA works. As you are aware from your own experiences, the perception of how well the sound works on anything is subjective and will also depend on your auditory acuity. This TV features a 4.2 Channel Speaker System that has an output of 60W (WF: 20W) that most would consider as having a good sound quality. The TV gets quite loud, has a good amount of body and punch to its bass, and produces clear and intelligible dialog. In the TV's settings menu, the Sound Mode has a Clear Voice III setting that boosts voice clarity if you need to boost it. You can always add a Soundbar to it should you feel you need to improve the sound quality to your satisfaction...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sound is fine without a soundbar. Very clear. Voices can be heard over background sounds. I added the Sonos soundbar, as I already had a Sonos system in place and it enhances music.
