Good question! Measuring the outside distance of the legs for the 65 in. LG, it is just under 54 in. wide. They are just a few inches within the overall width of the TV. I had originally purchased another brand which I returned for the LG. After getting it, I realized the legs were much further apart and would not fit my TV stand so I had to build a small shelf addition. Well worth it though, I thoroughly like the LG except the LG apps such as for YouTube TV are not stable and so I use the Roku I already had to control the TV.
