This television set is awesome!!! The SMART 4K ULTRA HD TV is the best. I have not experienced any issues regarding the picture being shrunk, nor I have had any blurry picture. Would I buy this TV again? Yes, indeed!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In your previous inquiry you stated that you had a large collection of 4K Blu-rays which is why we gave the response based on that. If your Blu-rays are standard Blu-ray DVDs, they will still look good because the LG 60 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (59.5'' Diag), Model # 60UM6900PUA as we explained earlier has a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 (or 4K) and like all TV's, it will play any video content it is presented with at its native resolution. When presented with video content with a lower resolution such as 1080p, the TV has a 4K Upscaler that will upconvert that lower resolution content to its native resolution. A 1080p signal has enough data in it that the video quality is not compromised. That all depends on how well the 4K Upscaler upconverts the signal. Blurring is usually due to upconversion of a signal that does not have enough data in it. Blu-ray discs still have an Aspect ratio of 16:9 which is also the Aspect Ratio for this TV so there is no squashing, shrinking or any black bands on the image displayed on the TV...^IFV
