LG announced at CES 2019 that all of the 2019 LG OLED Lineup, the LG NanoCell SM9X series (2019), LG NanoCell SM8X series (2019), and the LG UHD UM7X series (2019) will add support via a firmware upgrade that is expected "mid-year" that will provide Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit support. With Apple HomeKit support, customers will be able to control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri. The LG 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV w/AI ThinQ®, Model # 65UM7300PUA is one of the screen sizes in the UM7X series. ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also called LG customer service about this issue. They told me the same thing, a future update will make this feature available. We are more than mid-way past this year and still no update. I am frustrated that this is a listed feature on the TV and it just isn't available.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I emailed LG and they answered (on 01/06/19): "a new software version is yet to be developed and released for the TV". I also made some research and it's scheduled to release mid this year... let's see if that happens.
