Many budget TV's cut the extras to get the price down into the budget range ..just add an HDMI switch and you can have as many ports as your heart desires

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So many TV's only have 1 HDMI port. Especially when you go back to the inception of HDMI, and if you go not that much further back TV's had one and only one input. usually RF then Composite Video, ect. We used VHS players then DVD players, cable boxes or even AV Stereo receivers to switch between inputs. Now a days, receivers are out of style, and lots of people want their TVs to be video switchers, which in turn requires TV's to have more inputs. That being said, if you've never seen a TV with only 2 HDMI ports, then you haven't seen very many TV's, wait till you here about displayport!
