I think clarity would have more to do with the settings selected on the TV feeding into the sound bar. We have that sound bar and have very good clarity after I changed the TV settings. I don't know if this helps or not.

Please try again later.The [7] in the LG SL10RG 7.1.2 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with Surround Speakers refers to the number of traditional surround speakers (front, center, surround etc.,) in the system. The [1] refers to how many powered subwoofers it has and the [2] refers to the number of overhead speakers or Dolby Atmos speakers it has. Depending on your source audio signal, the center speaker may be clear or it may not be clear. You may need to go into the settings to change the Sound Effect to suit the content you're watching. The default setting is the ASC (Adaptive Sound Control) that analyzes the property of the input and provides the sound optimized for the content in real time.
