The closer the Subwoofer is to the main unit for the LG 7.1.2-Channel 710W Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos with Google Assistant, Model # SL10RG the better the sound quality. Like most Class 2 Bluetooth devices, the Bluetooth range for the Subwoofer is 33 feet (10 m) but there are many obstacles in an average home that will attenuate the signal and reduce the range. It will vary from one home to another so it's a matter or trial and error to find what range works best in your home...^IFV
