Hi Alex. Thank you for your question. For the LG Soundbar model S90TR, it is designed to work with the included wireless subwoofer and rear speakers for the best audio experience. However, you can use the soundbar with the rear speakers only if space is a concern. The subwoofer provides enhanced bass, so while removing it may affect the overall sound quality, the soundbar and rear speakers alone will still deliver quality audio.
