“The dryer I have now has a compartment to add water in the top for the steam option and I don't see that on this one so does it need a water line? Will it not operate without the hookup if it requires one because I have never used the steam dryer option”

• Yes you will need a cold water supply line to the bottom rear of the drier to use the steam function.

• it uses the same water line as the washer (there is an adapter used on the water line going to the washer)
