• Yes, it will. I converted mine from gas to propane as soon as it was installed. You will need to obtain the conversion kit. The kit contains a smaller orifice and decals to indicate it is now fueled by propane. Getting to the original orifice may be more of a chore than you can handle, without having it converted by a professional.

• yes. requires a conversion kit from whirlpool, cost about $20, and someone able to read and follow moderately complex directions for taking drum out to make conversion.
