“Why does it sound like there is a coin in the dryer with my clothes? I've had my dryer for just over a year and it started sounding like there was a coin in the dryer while it was running. I've checked to see if anything is in there that could be making the noise, and there isn't. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what it is?”

Your problem is that you do have a coin in the dryer, most likely! it's in one of the plastic paddles! I've had the same problem happen to me, easiest way to find it is turn on the dryer, with the door open, button held in, and listen when you hear it clunk on the bottom. follow that paddle, then just wiggle the paddle side to side, when you have the paddle towards , like 4 0 clock or 7 o'clock. it should roll right out from under the paddle, Good luck and hope you find your treasure!

Ft. 9-Cycle Ultra-Large Capacity Electric Dryer in White, Model # DLE1101W. Unfortunately, it is very likely that that is what happened in that a coin fell out of a pocket and worked its way into the machine. If it got in behind the interior of the drum, you may have to get that taken care of before it does cause some damage to the unit...^IFV
