A:AnswerThere is a variety of reasons as to why your ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.3 cu. Ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7150W, is continuing to run even after the cycle has ended, that may be due to issues with the control board, door switch, or timer.
The control board is responsible for managing the dryer’s functions. If it malfunctions, it may send continuous power to the motor, causing the dryer to keep running. If you suspect this is the issue, you may need to replace the control board.
If the timer gets stuck, it can cause the dryer to run continuously. To troubleshoot, unplug the dryer and wait a few minutes to allow the timer to reset. If this does not resolve the issue, replacing the timer may be necessary.
A faulty door switch can fail to signal the control board to stop the motor when the cycle is complete. Inspect the door switch for proper operation and replace it if necessary.
Overloading can strain the motor and cause it to overheat, leading to continuous operation. Ensure you are not exceeding the manufacturer’s recommended load capacity.
A clogged lint filter can restrict airflow, causing the dryer to overheat and run continuously. Clean the lint filter thoroughly after each use to prevent this issue.
Check for any loose or corroded wiring connections, particularly around the start switch and timer. Tightening loose wires can often resolve electrical malfunctions that cause the dryer to run when it shouldn’t.
If the problem persists after checking these potential causes, it may be best to contact our Customer Support on social media, using our handle, @LGUSSUPPORT, or consult a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the issue. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent such problems in the future...^Ivan.

A:AnswerHello there, thank you for your detailed question about the lint sensors in the DLE7150W dryer. The lint sensors monitor airflow and lint buildup during operation. If the sensors detect a significant reduction in airflow, which could happen if the lint filter needs cleaning or if there’s a blockage in the venting system, a warning light will illuminate on the control panel after several loads. This is a helpful reminder for homeowners to check and clean the lint filter and any potential obstructions in the vent. Additionally, if an external factor, like a bird's nest on a roof guard, blocks airflow, it could also trigger the sensor alert. Regular maintenance of both the lint filter and venting system is crucial for optimal performance. If you have further questions or need assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. We’re here to help!

A:AnswerYes, but you really shouldn't. Consumer Reports says that dryer sheets leave a film on the clothes and the dryer sensors. It will take a while (months & months) but that film builds up and messes up the drying sensors.

A:AnswerI haven't yet tried to do this. Where it sits in my house I can hear it in the office I sit in when it goes off quite well like it is needed. I would think though if you can't find help from Best Buy, your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer and see what assistance they could offer. Having been production myself, most companies "should" offer good assistance with that as the one I worked for always did.
