Yes, the dryer can be vented to the bottom; there are instructions in the manual. The dryer door does reverse; I did it myself and it took about 45min. I am not sure about the kit, but it shows to use a 4" 90' elbow. This could probably be purchased at your local home improvement store.

It is my understanding from the salesman that the door works two ways. Left to right and can be set to go from top down. I simply use it the way it came opens left to right.

The door on the dryer can also be easily reversed for convenience.
