    • Answer Does your closet have a door? The LG 7.3 cu. Ft. Ultra Large Capacity Rear Control Electric Dryer with LG EasyLoad™ Door and AI Sensing, Model # DLE8400WE, has a depth of 29 1/4" (50 1/2" D with door open), and it has been tested for clearances of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and the rear for recessed or closet installation spacing. You may want to consider additional spacing for ease of installation and servicing. Closets with doors must have both an upper and lower vent to prevent heat and moisture buildup in the closet. One upper vent opening with a minimum opening of 48 sq. in. (310 cm2 ) must be installed no lower than 6 feet above the floor. One lower vent opening with a minimum opening of 24 sq. in. (155 cm2) must be installed no more than one foot above the floor. Install vent grilles in the door or cut down the door at the top and bottom to form openings. Louvered doors with equivalent ventilation openings are also acceptable...^Ivan.

  • QuestionCan this electric dryer be bottom vented? Does the door on the dryer reverse? For bottom vent, what kits should I prepare?

    • Answer Yes, the dryer can be vented to the bottom; there are instructions in the manual. The dryer door does reverse; I did it myself and it took about 45min. I am not sure about the kit, but it shows to use a 4" 90' elbow. This could probably be purchased at your local home improvement store.

  • QuestionJust purchased a LG DLE8400WE dryer. Replacing a old gas dryer. Home as built in 1996 and has a 3 prong 240 outlet in wall. I believe the LG dryer is not supplied with the electrical core. CORRECT? If my assumption is correct, I need to purchase the cord

  • QuestionHow do I change the cool drying to warm ? My clothes doesn’t get dry and inside the dryer is not hot?

    • Answer The control panel has a temperature setting that could be changed to a warmer setting. If it is still not hot when drying, there probably is something else going on and should be checked out by a service technician. LG does have a customer service number and the machine does have a diagnostic feature that customer service can help you navigate. Good Luck.
