This dryer needs a standard 4 prong dryer plug. I think some older 4 prong plugs were configured differently, so I suggest a new plug. The outlet location can be just about anywhere behind the dryer, but I would stay above one foot from the floor, as the cord is very stiff and would be difficult to bend to fit a low outlet. Mine is probably 2 1/2 feet from the floor. The dryer will push back against the plug to a distance of about 2 1/2 inches from the wall. I hope this helps.

A licensed electrician can advise you of the best way to wire your home for a new dryer. I have had an LG washer and dryer in the home that I am selling for the last 8 years and they have performed fantastically. I have bought these new LG Washer and Dryer for my new home and I am sure that they will work as well as my old washer and dryer.
