I would say it could be installed without the H2O line connected and would not cause a problem but it is best to contact LG support and get their take. If you do not attempt to use the "feature" and use it as a normal cycle it should not hurt anything. When I bought our washer and dryer all the necessary hoses and what not came with it. I am surprised that it did not have the connection set included. You should contact the manager at the store and confirm if the connection package was supposed to come included and get that resolved. I believe the cost of the unit does include that.
