“I have the model DLEX3700W with steam kit. Is there any reason I cannot use the long hose with the y-connector shared with my washer? Washer/dryer are not close enough together to use the short hose w/connector, Thanks”

It really just depends on the required length to complete the connection. You'll wanna be mindful of installation guidelines for your washer as it relates to the length of the water hose.
