• Your new dryer is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side (right side venting is not available on gas models). An adapter kit, part number 383EEL9001B, may be purchased from your LG retailer. This kit contains the necessary duct components to change the dryer vent location. • It can be side-vented, there is a kit for it. I am not sure if the installers can do it, though.

• Yes it can be side vented per the instructions. You have to purchase the optional kit separately. I am unsure if the techs from Best Buy can do this install, although by the instructions, it seems very simple.
