Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you have your ducts cleaned before installing the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.4 cu. Ft. Stackable Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer, Model # DLE3470W? If your LG dryer is taking too long to dry your clothes or your dryer is not heating properly this is likely due to a blockage to the dryer's airflow, which will make dry times longer than normal. Airflow blockages can be caused by an obstruction in the duct work or lint build-up on your air filter. You can perform an Installation Test on the dryer that will measure multiple internal components of the dryer and will provide an error code, if an issue is detected. Afterward, make a note of the displayed error code or choose a scenario, if no error code appears. To start the test, remove clothes from the dryer and any lint from the lint tray. Make sure the dryer is cool and powered off. Press and release the POWER button, then immediately press and hold the Temp + Wrinkle Care Buttons which are the two designated buttons for starting the test. You MUST press the two designated buttons before the end of the startup chime. If done correctly, the display will show the ln5 display code (installation test). If it finishes beeping, and does not show this, power off the dryer and try again. It may take multiple attempts to get the timing right. Press START/PAUSE. Take note of the number the display changes to, if any. After 1 minute, the display should change back to “InS”. Take note of the first number shown and the highest number that displayed right before that. After the second minute, the display will read “End” or “0”. 20 seconds later, it will either go completely blank, or it will start flashing error codes. The numbers shown are the temperatures detected inside the dryer. Please use the chart which can be found at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-why-is-my-dryer-not-heating-not-drying-or-taking-a-long-time-drying-CT10000011-1432223739634 to understand your results and determine the next steps. Your dryer features LG's Flow Sense™, an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer duct work, and you can refer to the instructions on page 25 in your owner's manual for how to activate the installation test. Damp clothes will expand as they dry., so you should not overload the dryer; clothes require room to tumble and dry properly. For the best drying performance and most efficient energy usage, do not overload the dryer, and should sort clothes into loads that can be dried with the same drying cycle. Different fabrics have different care requirements, and some fabrics will dry more quickly than others. Another cause for your dryer taking too long to dry may be due to too long a run of your ductwork. You should avoid long runs or runs with multiple elbows or bends. Page 19 in your owner's manual shows the Maximum length of 4-inch diameter rigid metal duct, and the number of 90° Elbows that should be used according to the wall cap type...^Ivan.
