“Why would an LG dryer would not dry clothes because the house is close to the sea in S.CA the technician stated that the duct is too short ? Why does it not say anything about this in the manual ? Thank you”

The information is not correct. The shorter the duct the better and living close to ocean should not be a factor. I would recommend another service appointment.
