Yes the base is a wireless receiver (bluetooth) that can be setup a good distance away from the sound bar. There are wires that do connect the receiver to the two rear speakers, this way there are no wires from the sound bar to the back of the room to the receiver, works out very nice.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the base can be setup and plugged in to the area where the speakers are going. The speakers do plug into the base and the base is what powers them and has the wireless technology that connects to the sound bar. It’s basically just like the wireless subwoofer, place where you want and plug it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. I bought these wireless speakers to enhance my home theater. They are not wireless. However, they attach to a wireless receiver which you place at the back of the room. The speakers then wired into the wireless base. This completes the home theater and the sound is awesome!
