Yes, you can have it away from the sound bar. However, all the pieces of the rear speaker system must stay close. Due to it being a speaker wired system. Disappointing that it wasn’t wireless. I would not have purchased had I known it was wired. However, if you don’t mind the wires. Then, it should be just fine for you.

The Bluetooth range is 10 m or 33 feet. Please be mindful that there are many physical obstacles in the transmission path that can interfere with the Bluetooth signal like concrete walls that will attenuate the signal and drastically reduce its range. ^Daphane
