The speakers connect to the wireless receiver, tall unit in photo, with standard speaker wires. So, it would be possible to connect any wired speaker to the wireless receiver. Only the receiver is wireless. Speakers connect with wires, but the wireless receiver allows you to place them in remote locations.

I connected my iPhone with the sound bar via the Google Home app. I’m guessing if you have other speakers that can be managed with Google Home app then you could possibly connect them. I don’t know for sure.

I bought the LG surround speaker system and it works great. It has a control module that receives the Bluetooth signal and distributes it. I would think individual Bluetooth speakers wouldn't work. I may be wrong. This is a very powerful system and I love it.
